One evening I decided to visit a pretty temple with a pond. A gleaming blue pond which will appear a few blos posts down the line. I was joined by a feline friend, stopping by for a quick drink and a chat. Temples often have a cat or two, stalking the grounds and vying for attention. I tried my best in low light to capture his little pink tongue eagerly lapping up the water.

On a sunset stroll I noticed the sun slowly merging with the city horizon; bobbing on a podium like an ice cream.

Hagi is a castle town. Or rather it isn’t, it having been knocked down. The grounds however, are always worth a stroll- especially when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, a pretty pink canvas. Keep an eye out for part two!

A few more pictures of the friendly deer residents of Miyajima island- meandering around in a quest for food and posing for the odd photo. See my original post here.
A little while back I posted some pictures from Miyajima- a holy island boasting temples, shrines and a flock of friendly deer. These are a few more shots of it’s crowning jewel- a floating Tori gate, gleaming red in the sun.

Another (very noble looking) monkey moment from the Jigokudani Monkey Park in Nagano. See some more moments here.
Just a few photos taken with my plastic Lomography camera. The first was taken in Kyoto of the amazing- glinting and gold. The second is a pretty sunset at the beach in my home town, Hagi.
Hagi has a beautiful coast line, the horizon splattered mysteriously with dotted islands. I decided to create a pop art- a colourful collage of a few photos taken on the first day warm enough for the beach.

These photos were taken on an evening, river-side, stroll- people bustling to gaze at the cherry blossoms, set against a brilliant sunset and accompanied by an especially affectionate cat.
Hawks stalk the airways at a nearby pond, their reflection abstracted eerily in a puddle as they cascade overhead.
